Grammarly vs ChatGPT: Which is Better?
I put these two tools head-to-head to see which one actually helps writers the most.
📌 Grammarly – Best for grammar, clarity, and engagement. Great for refining sentences, catching mistakes, and keeping your tone consistent.
📌 ChatGPT – My go-to for brainstorming, outlining, and rewriting. Need help structuring an article, generating ideas, or improving a draft? This is where it shines.

How to Write Better Sentences with AI
Most people use AI to write faster. But if you want to write better, you need to start with your sentences.
That’s why I love this guide to writing with AI—it doesn’t just crank out paragraphs; it helps you craft sentences that are clear, impactful, and worth reading.
The article breaks down four smart ways to use AI for sentence construction:
Grammar and Syntax Corrections: AI acts as an instant spell-checker and grammar guide, ensuring accuracy and polish.
Enhanced Vocabulary: AI can suggest better words or synonyms to make your writing more precise and engaging.
Writing Styles and Tone: If you’re struggling to get the right “voice,” AI can adjust the style to be more formal, casual, or anything in between.
Structure and Clarity: AI helps you organize your thoughts more clearly, improving flow and making complex ideas easier to understand.
It’s a great reminder that AI is a powerful assistant—not a replacement—for your writing voice.

Why You’re Using ChatGPT Wrong (& How to Fix It)
Most people are using ChatGPT wrong.
Not because they’re cheating or trusting its made-up facts, but because they don’t get how to actually talk to it. If you’re treating it like a human or a search engine, you’re missing out on its real power.
That’s why I follow Ethan Mollick.
He’s a thought leader in AI with a fun, creative take on how to weave it into everyday life. His insights are practical, clever, and sometimes hilarious, making the complex world of AI feel accessible. Yes, his article on writing with ChatGPT is from early 2023, but his advice is still gold.
Here’s why.
Mollick points out that people misunderstand how to interact with ChatGPT. It’s not a human or a search engine; it’s a tool you program with words. The key, he says, is mastering the art of prompt crafting.
Instead of vague requests like “write an essay on human error,” he suggests getting specific. Give clear instructions with bullet points or add layers to the prompt, like asking for an academic tone, examples, varied language, or a particular writing style. Think of it as programming with words.
Mollick also explains ChatGPT’s memory quirks—how it sometimes gets “stuck” on ideas or forgets context. His solution? Start a new chat or tweak your prompts to shake things up. He encourages experimenting with tone, audience, and even personas to get the best results.
It’s a masterclass in making AI work for you, and his playful, practical approach is as relevant today as it was when he wrote it.
