LinkedIn recently introduced new AI-powered features to help you find a job — tasks like tailoring your resume and writing cover letters. It’s also testing an AI chatbot (trained with input from real-life business experts) that can provide career and job-hunting advice.

Here’s what you get with the new features:

  • AI coaches modeled after real-life career experts that provide personalized feedback

  • AI-generated cover letters and resumes fine-tuned for specific jobs

  • Better search results to help you find colleagues or companies

  • An AI tool for recruiters to reach more candidates with AI-generated messages

These features will be available “soonish” to Premium users.

AI Marketers: The New Mad Men?

McKinsey estimates that GenAI will boost annual global productivity in marketing and sales by $3.3 trillion. Just ask Klarna, a global payments company, which sent the Twittersphere buzzing last month by stating that it saves $10 million a year on its marketing efforts using GenAI

PYMNTS claims that the " AI-knowledgeable” marketers will harness AI to generate brand-aligned assets using customer data platforms, websites, pixels, and UTM codes - making them the new Mad Men of today.

Many Teams Still Challenged with AI

The AI Accelerator Institute recently published its 2024 Generative AI Report, exploring how organizations are adopting GenAI practices. The report shows an increase in AI usage, but many teams are still facing challenges implementing AI consistently.

Here are a few of the key findings:

  • 64.9% of industry leaders believe GenAI is essential

  • 56.4% of companies are using GenAI to speed up their processes and achieve more in less time

  • Text applications remain the primary use case for GenAI adoption

  • Most practitioners use several GenAI tools
