3 AI Workflows for Marketers

Emily Kramer & Kathleen Estreich of MKT1 are big believers in the transformative impact of AI on marketing workflows. As they say, you won’t be efficient or effective enough to compete if you don't adopt AI as a marketer.

They have a 3-step framework for using AI as part of your marketing day-to-day:

  1. Get answers from large amounts of data: With AI, it’s much easier and faster to conduct research, analyze data, and get insights quickly—whether the data is in a spreadsheet, articles, another tool, or all of these places.

  2. Improve marketing operations and processes: Use AI to streamline your team and free up time to work on meatier projects. Consolidating and connecting tools and automating manual processes and tasks will take just a few hours to get set up and save you weeks—maybe months—in the future.

  3. Create & distribute relevant, high-quality content across all formats and channels faster:

    1. Video, audio, and visual content—Create or edit brand assets yourself that would have required specialists in the past.

    2. Personalized content at scale - Create relevant content for a specific person, company, funnel stage, and/or channel at scale.

Mastering the Art of Persuasion with AI Roleplay

Do you ever find yourself asking friends or colleagues for advice to help you think through a particular scenario? Ever wish you had that colleague available 24/7?

Not anymore.

Now, you can ask AI for the same advice, and you won’t have to promise to buy it a coffee in return.

Section 4 has created a handy roleplaying guide to help you develop your strategic decision-making, presenting, collaborating, and leading skills. You can pick from the Executive for leadership advice, the Negotiator if you have a difficult negotiation coming up, or the Debator if you want to strengthen your persuasion skills.

Why should you take the time to roleplay? It can help you hone your communication skills, craft better messaging, negotiate with your boss or other departments, and effectively present ideas.

4 Steps to Transform Your Content Development

AI is impacting all stages of the content marketing lifecycle — from generating ideas to analyzing results. Taylor Peterson from MarTech shares his four-step process for integrating AI into your content development lifecycle.

  1. Insights and research: Gather data and conduct research to inform your content strategy. AI can help by suggesting relevant keywords and topics and by analyzing data to see what content is performing well for your competitors.

  2. Ideation: Use AI to expand content themes and plan for future activations. AI can help by suggesting new content ideas and brainstorming new ways to promote your content.

  3. Creation: Use AI-assisted content execution and design. AI can help by creating outlines and drafts of your content and generating images and other visuals.

  4. Reporting and analysis: AI can help by tracking the performance of your content and providing insights into what content resonates with your audience.

The Forces Reshaping Marketing

Snowflake’s latest marketing report highlights artificial intelligence and machine learning as two of the forces reshaping marketing. No surprise there - they say that large language models (LLMs) are poised to revolutionize marketing.

Here are a few of the highlights from the report:

  • LLMs will improve marketing automation: LLMs are pros at analyzing large and complex datasets, including images and text. Marketers can use this to improve ad targeting and placement.

  • Content creation will become increasingly automated. We all know that AI-generated content doesn’t perform as well as human-created content (for now), but LLMs are automating more elements of the content creation process.

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) will improve: LLMs are built on advanced NLP techniques, which will lead to more sophisticated chatbots, virtual assistants, and sentiment analysis tools.

  • Market research will be more efficient: LLMs can process large amounts of data from a variety of sources, including social media, online reviews, and market research reports, giving marketers deeper insights into consumer trends, sentiment, and the competitive landscape.

  • Non-technical workers will be empowered: No more complicated dataset analysis! LLMs will make working with data more accessible for non-technical workers, allowing them to make data-driven decisions more easily.

  • Marketing tools will be more accurate: AI-powered marketing tools will become more accurate, leading to better recommendations, churn predictions, and marketing attribution.
