3 Secrets to Avoiding AI Detectors

Is your content human enough?

AI tools are changing the way we create content, but with the rise of LLMs comes a new challenge: not creating content that sounds like it comes from a robot.

Luke Harsel's guide on Semrush breaks down how to identify AI-written content and make sure your own copy looks and sounds like you wrote it (and not your AI).

Here’s how:

  • Watch out for repetitive and generic language. Check out Wired’s list for the worst culprits.

  • Confirm your information isn’t outdated. LLMs don’t always have the latest info and they love making things up. Double-check everything.

  • Use Copyleaks, Originality.ai, and Semrush's plagiarism checker to see how much of your text sounds like AI.

  • Include your own personal stories - this is the one thing an LLM can’t add to the content.

Just for fun I ran a few of my writing samples through Originality.ai and it did a decent job of flagging the AI text.

Here’s an example of a summary I pulled from ChatGPT before I rewrote it for the newsletter:

And here’s an example of a segment I wrote without any help from my AI:

Slack Launches AI Agents

Slack and Salesforce have introduced Agentforce, a platform that let businesses deploy autonomous AI agents for sales, marketing, customer service, IT, and finance.

These agents go beyond basic data retrieval and outputs —they can qualify leads, resolve customer cases, and even optimize campaigns - all with minimal human oversight.

And now you can access these agents in Slack. Here’s how it works:

  • Context: Agents can access unstructured Slack data, like team conversations, for more precise responses.

  • Collaboration: AI agents function like teammates—users can @mention them, assign tasks, and get real-time support.

  • Productivity: Agents can manage tasks like creating project lists, sending calendar invites, and summarizing meetings.

Early adopters like Wiley and Adecco Group have already seen impressive results, including a 40% increase in case resolution.

These tools do it all, from automating repetitive tasks to boosting creativity:

  • Notion AI: Project management made smarter.

  • Descript: Simplifies video editing with ease.

  • Grammarly: Perfects your grammar and writing.

  • SEMRush: Drives your SEO strategy.

321 Ways AI is Changing The World

Google recently unveiled an impressive collection of 321 real-world use cases showing how generative AI is reshaping industries, from healthcare to finance and everything in between.

Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Alaska Airlines is developing natural language search, providing travelers with a conversational experience just like interacting with a travel agent.

  • HomeToGo, a vacation-rental app, created AI Sunny, a new AI-powered travel assistant that supports guests while booking.

  • trivago’s new “Smart AI Search” allows users to search for hotels using natural language, making it easier to find their ideal accommodations.

  • US News saw a double-digit increase in click-through rate, time spent on page, and traffic volume to its pages after implementing Vertex AI Search.

  • Formula E can now summarize a two-hour long race commentary into a 2-minute podcast in any language, incorporating driver data.

  • Hand Talk uses AI to translate spoken and written sign language using a virtual character named Hugo. The AI translates the oral language into ASL gloss and then converts the gloss into signs.

These examples show how generative AI is already transforming industries, making processes smarter and experiences better.

Turn Hours of YouTube Into Minutes of Insights

You know those videos that promise to teach you something new but take forever to get to the point? That’s where Eightify comes in. It’s an AI tool that makes information-packed videos quicker to digest by cutting through the fluff.

Think of it as a time-saving sidekick for YouTube.

It hooks into Chrome, uses ChatGPT to pull out key details, and even adds timestamps so you can check the source if needed.

Here’s what makes Eightify a standout:

  • Quick summaries: No need to sit through hours of rambling; it serves you the core info upfront.

  • Timestamps mean you can double-check accuracy or dive deeper into specific sections.

  • Summarize first, so you don’t waste time on videos that promise a lot but deliver little.

Complex topics sometimes still require a full watch to get the nuances. But for skimming the essentials? Eightify is unbeatable.
